The holiday season is a time for gratitude, reflection, and generosity. It’s a chance to pause, appreciate what we have, and look for meaningful ways to give back. At our Grapevine shop, we have so much for which to be grateful. We are part of an incredible community and have had the privilege of serving wonderful clients throughout the past year. As our team reflected on all that we have to be thankful for, we began exploring meaningful ways we could give back during this upcoming holiday season.

That’s why, this year, NerdsToGo-Grapevine is honored to partner with Operation Christmas Child. This organization is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, which has delivered more than 232 million shoebox gifts to children in over 170 countries and territories since 1993. Each shoebox is filled with thoughtfully selected gifts that bring comfort, joy, and a powerful reminder to children that they are seen and loved.

For a donation of $30, you can build a shoebox online, and Samaritan’s Purse will pack and ship the box for you. Building a box online isn’t just about giving money; it’s a hands-on experience. After your donation, you’ll be able to select the child’s age group and gender, then personally choose each item that will go inside the shoebox. We encourage everyone who participates to thoughtfully explore the item options and include a personal message to make their gift even more meaningful.

At NerdsToGo-Grapevine, we believe in serving our community and creating real impact, especially during the holiday season. That’s why we’ve set a goal to build at least 50 online shoeboxes this season.

To help multiply the impact, NerdsToGo-Grapevine will match each shoebox built, up to 25 boxes, doubling the gifts sent to children in need.
